Scout Experience Survey 2019
14/03/2019 By Stephen James

Please fill in the Scout Experience Survey 2019

It’s great to see so many have already completed this year’s Scout Experience Survey. Have you given your views? If not, there’s still time:

scouts.org.uk/scoutsurvey2019

Share the survey with others

To help us understand the impact of Scouts on young people and improve our support for all volunteers we need as many responses as we can possibly get from volunteers, parents/carers and young people (Scouts, Explorers and Network).

As a Scouting member please encourage your all leaders, parents and those involved to share the survey link with our Young People, Scouts Section Leaders to share the link with Scouts as well as their parents/carers.

Please also share widely on any District mailing lists or social media platforms. The more people we hear from, the more accurate and refined our research and analysis will be, and the more we can help you. We’ve created a guide to help you promote the survey: this includes email templates, a checklist, and tips on what to do.

Increase responses in your District to win £1000
As a thank you, everyone taking part will be entered into a draw of £500 to spend at Scout Store or Scout Adventures or a Go-Pro. The two Districts that secure the most responses will also be entered into a similar draw for £1000. The survey closes on Monday 1 April 2019. The survey closes on Monday 1 April 2019.

If you have any questions, please see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) in this guide or email info.centre@scouts.org.uk.

Best wishes,

Tim Kidd

As Scouts, we are committed to preparing more young people with skills for life, supported by amazing leaders delivering an inspiring programme. We will be growing, more inclusive, shaped by young people and making a bigger impact in our communities.

We’ve listened to you, and our plan for the next five years is based on what you’ve told us is important. It’s a plan that will deliver better support for volunteers and contribute to a better society. But most of all, it’s a plan for young people. They deserve the best skills, the best support and the best possible futures.

What now?

  1. Understand the plan and watch the video
  2. Find out what to do in your role
  3. Share our new film, Skills for Life: Nat’s story on social media with this message: Proud to be preparing young people in Scouts with #SkillsForLife

Take me to our plan

Our goals can only be achieved if we work together. It’s the collective power of Scouting that will grow our movement; an inclusive movement shaped by young people, making a bigger impact on our communities.
